Quantum Measurement Theory: The Science behind Consciousness and Experiences

Abstract: The basics of quantum physics and quantum measurement theory are reviewed to show how a scientific theory of consciousness and experiences derives from them. It is pointed out that materialist theories of consciousness including the much touted one by Penrose and Hameroff1 do not address even the most basic aspect of consciousness as we experience it, namely the self/subject of an experience. The most important new achievement reported here is about how the ideas of consciousness are embodied in the material bodies of the living and sentient. Experiments are cited that provide verification of the model.
